The source image that was the inspiration for this 3 by 5 foot oil painting was digitally captured during a 2008 December snow storm. It is of a stand of 100+ year old Red Oak trees that soar 70 and 80 feet high above my home in Bainbridge, NY. The painting has been awarded 'Best of class' and 'Best of show' in the two exhibitions that it was entered.
